Oversized Ruffled Egg Vase - Melted Mint

The oversized ruffled egg vase is one of the most commanding pieces in the Ruffle Fold Collection. This very large and heavy egg-shape vase is covered in a dense, interwoven mass of folded clay. At 34cm tall, it anchors a large space or console as a sculptural object first, vase second. Glazed in Melted Mint which has delicate bronze rim-folds, creating shadow and depth that shifts with the light.

The Ruffle Fold Collection is defined by a single technique — clay folded, layered and built by hand until the surface becomes the sculpture. Each piece explores what happens when organic movement is captured in stoneware: dense, tactile forms that reference coral structure and coastal texture. No two pieces are identical in fold or edge.
